For those of you who remember the days of the meat and three dinner, this is the place. Not fancy at all. But the food is great. Reminds me of those days when fresh vegetables and well prepared entrees were what mattered most. The place is friendly with a family feel to it. Lots of regulars and the staff quickly gets to know you. This is a great food hidden gem. I hope we don't ever lose it to the high end urbanism that so permeates Greenville today.

Omg. Don't miss this restaurant! Looks like a dive pulling into parking lot. Family owned and operated. Friendly, nice people. Great, super homemade food and plenty of it. Different menu depending on day. Only open Monday through Friday. 7:30 to 7:30. Not open weekends! Highly recommend!! Delicious!!

I was there last week, my wife and we both ordered the fried flounder. There was nothing flounder about. I know fish and what they gave us was some fresh water fish. FALSE ADVERTISING!. However the food was good.

The Dixie re-open today for business after a major electrical problem due to a storm. The place has been cleaned up, painted and new menus. Amy was my server today and did a good job!

In these difficult times, finding good food can be a challenge. Fortunately, Dixie has been open and the quality of the food is still outstanding. I don't know what it is about the fried flounder that makes it addictive. The vegetables are always perfect, as are the other variety of entrees. But the main reason I keep coming back is the service. I can always count on a smile and a positive attitude, which generally messes up my grumpy mood. The drive- thru is open except on the weekend, and it's easy to get a good hot meal and feel safe!

What! I have been passing this place for years... I have to admit it's a little hidden with all of the other businesses, but today was my day to try. I wasn't very impressed with the menu and drive thru but this is a good example of not judging a book by its cover. The food was amazing!!!! I ordered a chicken tender plate- 4 large freshly made tenders and 3 sides... ok, today was cheat day and I went ALL OUT with the help of the lady at the window. I told her it was my first time and she hooked me up with the top sellers. These were Mac n cheese, sweet potato cobbler and strawberry cake. She said the strawberry cake was homemade right down to the frosting. The Mac n cheese must have been scrapings from the bottom of the pan because it was a little dry, but it wasn't the worst I've had. The sweet potato cobbler was surprisingly tasty. I saved it for my son to try later. The strawberry cake is what got me... wow! If you don't like strawberries then this would capture your heart. Hey, they say a way to someone's heart is with food, right? All of this cake with 2 cornbread rolls and sweet tea. All for $9. Whoever is cooking and baking in the kitchen is both feet's in and putting it down! I will definitely be back. Don't take my word for it... just try it!

Food is still good but it's not the same now that"Miss Jean" has passed. And we learned tonight that James will not be back after suffering a heart attack. Yep! It'll never be the same.

Anytime I go to a new town I always try to find what will end up being my favorite "greasy spoon", not a derogatory term just what I call a local mom n pop restaurant. I've been here 5 times in my first three weeks and it's all good! I just wish they would have the amazing banana pudding a little more often! A

A true family experience here at Dixie Family Restaurant. Menus are made daily and laid on the table. Seat yourself and choose what you want. James will be with you momentarily and get your drinks and order too if you're ready. Ordering is simple. Pick your main and your sides. Prices are listed below and pretty self explanatory. I went with the country fried steak with gravy with Mac and Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, and banana pudding with cornbread. Added a bit of salt and pepper and downed it like I was at home. Some good cooking here!! And not to mention it is incredibly fast! The cornbread isn't sweet so keep that in mind. I slathered it in butter and ate it happily. By far the highlight was the banana pudding. Just how I like it. And the sweet tea is sweet. I wish this place the best of luck as I would like to come back time and time again and not see it change.
